Reducing food waste

Impact company, UAI has two major commitments: reducing food waste and polluting packaging.

The company has always chosen to incorporate impactful societal and environmental practices at the heart of its strategy and economic model.

Visionary, the company chose in 2014 to offer organic dried fruits, cereals, and seeds in bulk to large retailers.

Thanks to bulk, we help reduce food waste. Buying only what you need saves resources and controls your budget. Because every year in France, 10 million tons of food are wasted throughout the food chain, which represents 50 kg per French person per year.

Our commitment is recognized by the FEEF and rewarded with the RSE “PME+” label.

Reducing polluting packaging

Convinced that the best packaging is the one we don't produce, we have designed and developed bulk furniture to offer consumers a varied selection in their usual store.
Every year in France, 400 million tons of plastic are produced, nearly half of which is intended for single-use packaging.
And we calculated, offering bulk products saved more than 300 tons of plastic this year for our company!!

And for our new range of products in sachets, we have developed packaging that is fully recyclable in the paper stream.

We do not claim to be perfect, but we move forward every day, confident that everyone can make a difference and that every little gesture counts!

OUR BRAND TERRITORY: EATING RIGHT

1- Creating excellent products: healthy, good, and 100% organic.

Offering “Eating Right” is not achieved by chance... It is only made possible by the passion that has driven our teams for over 20 years.
From the selection of raw materials to the development of healthy and tasty products and recipes, the commitment of all employees is present at every stage.
We strive to reduce the ingredient list to the “bare minimum”: 100% organic natural ingredients, use of spices and herbs instead of flavors, reduction of salt content...

2- A commitment to local sectors and the environment.

The construction of supply chains allows us to control and measure all stages from the farmer's field to the consumer's home and to guarantee transparency, complete traceability, and optimal quality to customers and consumers.

We prioritize the closest regions to us, both to support supply chains in France, for example, and to reduce our environmental impact. In 2023, we launched 10 new “origin France” references, bringing the total of France products in our bulk range to 18.

3- Zero waste and zero waste.

The company has always chosen to incorporate impactful societal and environmental practices at the heart of its strategy and economic model.
The company offers 117 bulk references, distributed in nearly 5000 points of sale.

And in our production site, everything has been designed to minimize environmental impact.

On our bulk lines, the sachets used are recyclable in the paper stream.

At the end of the packaging line, we have eliminated tape from our boxes by gluing them with vegetable glue. We have also eliminated labels from our boxes thanks to laser marking.

In total, it is 300 tons of plastic, 1.2 million labels, and 1200 km of adhesive tape saved each year.
